The Provincial Junior Hockey League (PJHL) is Ontario’s largest Junior hockey league, bringing together 61 teams from communities across the province. The league was formed in 2016 through the merger of eight former Junior C leagues within the Ontario Hockey Association and serves as a major part of the province’s community-based junior hockey system.

Today, the PJHL is divided into four conferences and eight divisions, with teams competing across Ontario throughout the regular season and playoffs.

The league’s ultimate championship is the Clarence Schmalz Cup. More than just competition, the PJHL provides young athletes with an opportunity to continue developing their game while remaining connected to their local communities, education, and careers. With a strong emphasis on player development, community involvement, and opportunity both on and off the ice, the PJHL remains an important pathway within Ontario junior hockey.
