Quebec Major Junior Hockey League

The Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) is one of Canada’s premier major junior hockey leagues and one of the three member leagues of the Canadian Hockey League (CHL). The league features teams across Quebec and Atlantic Canada, providing a high-level development environment for many of the game’s top young players.

The QMJHL currently features 18 teams, divided between the Eastern and Western Conferences. Teams compete throughout the regular season before battling for the Gilles-Courteau Trophy and the opportunity to represent the league at the Memorial Cup, one of junior hockey’s most prestigious championships.

With a long history of producing NHL players and professional prospects, the QMJHL remains an important pathway for young athletes pursuing the next level of hockey. The league continues to showcase elite talent while playing a major role in the development of the next generation of players across Canada and beyond.
